Biography

Azrath-11 is a cult Italian extreme metal band,
formed in Gorizia in 2007. The ensemble developed
as a spiritual and artistic evolution inspired by the delirious imagery of cosmic horror genius H.P. Lovecraft, with the aim
of fusing the sonic violence of Death Metal with the ceremonial atmospheres of Black Metal. The band's approach is distinguished by a cultured and dark conceptual approach. Their work is centered on a profound exploration of occultism, ceremonial magic, esotericism, the search for the terror
of the unknown, and hermetic philosophy. The core and driving force behind the project is one of the historic figures of the Italian underground scene: Asmodevs D.D. (Jonathan Garofoli):
Founder, multi instrumentalist, singer, drummer, and producer.
His stylistic signature is also linked to important collaborations with pillars of the genre such as the Hellenic Naer Mataron,
the historic Handful of Hate, Karl Sanders (Nile), Lord Kaiaphas (Ex Ancient, Thokkian Vortex), as well as a prestigious
session drummer for historic bands such as: Ancient (Nor)
and Melechesh (Is). The discography of Azrath-11,
although selective, represents a manifesto of rare power
and stylistic coherence: The Shrine Ov All Hallucinations
(2011 - Slava Satan Records) The debut album immediately stands out for its oppressive and ritual nature.
A work that combines tight riffs with lyrics that evoke mystical and hallucinatory dimensions. Ov Tentacles and Spirals
(2013 - Punishment 18 Records) The second album marks
the technical maturity of the band. With their latest album, "Kenòs," released by Northern Darkness Records in May 2026, Azrath-11 become undisputed ambassadors of their sound, defined as "True Lovecraftian Death Metal," which seals
the path of their artistic history to the musical maturity
they offer today, projecting themselves into the international musical firmament. The sound becomes more layered,dark
and geometric, praised by specialized critics for their ability
to combine brutal execution and cerebral atmospheres.
Azrath-11's music is characterized by dizzying drum tempos, tight guitar-working, and corrosive vocals. All of this is constantly immersed in a theatrical aura, with Ossianic
and Grand Guignolesque hues lost in remote worlds,
where man confronts the immensity of the void,
