Speedgöat: The Return of True Combat Speed/Rock 'n' Roll. Formed in Brescia between 2020 and 2021 by Nicco Papini, Speedgöat represent one of the most incendiary and uncompromising acts on the new Italian heavy metal scene.
The band offers visceral, raw, and high-octane speed metal, Where the destructive attitude of early black/thrash metal blends with the streetwise groove of the wildest rock 'n' roll. Their sound is a direct tribute to transgenerational legends
like Motörhead and Venom, contaminated by the punk-
hardcore energy of acts like Zeke and the rock-solid sound
of Chrome Division. The power trio combines the energy
of the new generation with the experience of a veteran
of the national extreme metal scene: Helgast on drums
and backing vocals. A longtime musician in the Italian underground, known for his role behind the drums
of occult cult leaders Mortuary Drape until 2007.
Nicco Vocals and Bass. The mastermind behind the project
and the creator of the tightly woven bass lines that set
the band's pace. Big Wolf Guitar. The band's sonic engine, responsible for cutting riffs and lightning-fast solos.
The Speedgöat 666 Sound Manifesto: After setting
the underground on fire in 2023 with their debut single,
"Kerosene," and its accompanying music video, the band channeled all their violence into their long-awaited
first official full-length: Speedgöat 666.
Released in May 2026 by Northern Darkness Records,
this raw and nihilistic concept album narrates the "bad trip"
of the mysterious entity Speedgöat, who descended
to Earth to unleash chaos. While the early compositions
paid tribute to classic speed, the album marks a clear
evolution: the rock 'n' roll structure is overwhelmed
by sudden bursts of speed approaching extreme metal
and grindcore, creating a claustrophobic and devastating
wall of sound. The Live Dimension, the true nature
of Speedgöat, emerges on stage, where the trio
has already distinguished itself with adrenaline-fueled performances and impactful volumes.
Despite the project's young age, the band has already
shared the stage with international heavyweights
and metal icons such as Sepultura, Exodus,
Brujeria, Sadist, and Electrocution.
